Mapmakers Alaska found a discrepancy between its older files originating from the same source and more recently downloaded data.Seaward Boundary*: Also know as the 3 Mile Limit, the Federal/State Boundary or the SLA Bondary. Created by the 1953 Submerged Lands Act (SLA) this boundary defines the seaward limit of coastal state juristicion and the landward limit of federal juristiction.
